Charisma Carpenter

 Charisma Carpenter, who was born July 23rd 1970 was an American actress. She played Cordelia Chase in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural thriller (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She also appeared on Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012 strong>

 



 

  Carpenter was the daughter of Christine Carpenter, a bird sanctuary worker, and Don Carpenter (a salesman) Born in Las Vegas. She is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Las Vegas. she was also a part of a group of dancers and singers that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley when she was just nine years old.

 



 

  Carpenter moved her family from Rosarito Beach, Baja California to Mexico when she was 15 years old. They then moved to San Diego to California. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. 2] [failed verification] Following her graduation, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store as an aerobics instructor, as well property management. She was a cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.

 



 

  When she was swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male friends were slain by Henry Hubbard Jr., who was a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist, who attempted to subdue them at gunpoint. Her friends as well as Hubbard were both shot during the fight. Hubbard fled the scene and her two friends survived. Hubbard was detained, convicted, sentenced to 56 years imprisonment for a string of rapes. Carpenter brought Hubbard's police-issue flashlight to the beach that he had left on the beach, and the flashlight turned out to be an important piece of evidence used against him.

 



 

  Carpenter was named No. 31 on the list of AskMen's Top 99 Most Wanted Women 2002[30as well as No. 44 on their list for 2005. However, Carpenter has stated she doesn't consider herself to be a sex symbol. Carpenter was on the cover and in the ten-page naked photoshoot of the issue in June of 2004 from Playboy magazine. People magazine asked Carpenter in 2005 if she would once again appear on Playboy. Carpenter responded "I don't know." I signed up for Playboy for a very specific reason. Playboy was more than a wise financial move but also an excellent option for my life circumstances. I'd just had a baby and had gained over 50 pounds in pregnancy. I wanted to be my old self again.
